Only BJP has and will work for State & people- Nadda

Monday, 07 February 2022 | PNS | Dehradun

The Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda accused the Congress of hypocrisy while stressing that it is the Bharatiya Janata Party which has done and will continue to do works for Uttarakhand and its people. Nadda arrived in Uttarakhand on his two-day campaign tour on Sunday. On the first day he addressed public gatherings at Uttarkashi and Doiwala apart from participating in door to door campaign in Sahaspur constituency. During his speeches in different areas, he kept the focus on criticising the Congress and comparing the performance of its government with that of the BJP governments in both Uttarakhand and at the Centre.

Addressing the gathering at Uttarkashi, he targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi stating that some people are now participating in Ganga Arti whereas the same people had delayed the construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya. Taking a dig at the opposition, he said that the BJP had taught the Congress leaders to visit temples. Claiming that it is the BJP which will develop Gangotri and Yamunotri, he appealed to the people to vote for the BJP candidates in all constituencies of Uttarkashi district. Later, while addressing a public gathering in Doiwala constituency, he said that while the Congress believes in dynastic politics, the BJP considers the party to be its family. “It is the BJP which has a report-card culture wherein we give the people an account of the work we have done. Has the Congress ever given you their report card? We believe in performance. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi historic developments have taken place in the nation including abrogation of Article 370, start of the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya and triple talaq law in addition to unprecedented development works across the nation. It is only the BJP which does what it says and will also continue to do more work in Uttarakhand in the future,” said Nadda. Former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat was also present on the occasion. Earlier, in both the public meetings, Nadda paid tribute to Lata Mangeshkar following the news of her demise.

It is pertinent to mention here that on the second day of his tour on Monday, Nadda will leave from Dehradun for Bageshwar where he will first pay obeisance at the Bagnath temple before addressing the public to elicit support for the party’s candidate Chandan Ram Das. He will then reach Pithoragarh and address the public there in support of party candidate Chandra Pant before returning to Dehradun where he will address the public in favour of candidate Savita Kapoor in Dehradun Cantt constituency. Nadda will leave for Delhi on Monday evening.
