In latest Uttarakhand news, a decree has been issued that the youngsters not covering their bodies properly will not be allowed to enter three sacred temples-Daksh Mahadev temple in Haridwar, Neelkanth temple in Rishikesh and Tapkeshwar temple in Dehradun. Issuing this decree, the president of Akhara Parishad Mahant Ravindra Puri said that eighty per cent of the body must be covered with clothes to be allowed into these temples. Notably, there are instances in the past of young women/girls being debarred from entering temples on this same issue. Now, it has been made a rule for temple entry.
