Vidhan Sabha monsoon session to be held in Bharadisain from Aug 19

PIONEER NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun

The monsoon session of Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha will be held from August 19 at Bharadisain in the summer capital Gairsain in Chamoli district.  The session will be organised between August 19 to 22. An order in this regard was issued by the principal secretary, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, Dhananjay Chaturvedi on Friday.

Uttarakhand cabinet in its meeting held on June 28 had authorised chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to take a decision on holding the monsoon session of the Vidhan Sabha following which the CM decided on time and place of the session. The monsoon session will be the second session of the year 2025 and the Pushkar Singh Dhami government is likely to table many bills in the session.

It is pertinent to mention here that Vidhan Sabha building at Bharadisain is located at an altitude of more than 7,800 feet and maintaining smooth road connectivity amid monsoon rains will be the biggest challenge for the authorities. The roads connecting to Bharadisain near Gairsain pass through high mountains and many slide-zones become active during the monsoon season in the roads and highways linking Gairsain to Dehradun and other parts of the State.
