Valley of Flowers to open on June 1, online booking launched

The Valley of Flowers in Chamoli district which draws thousands of nature lovers from across the world every year is opening to the public on June 1.  With the date drawing near, the Nanda Devi National Park authority has started preparations. A forest team has already left for Ghangaria. The visitors may do bookings online for the first time though the offline booking system will continue as before.

The DFO of the park, Tarun said that a website had already been launched for the Valley of Flowers visitors, adding that nearly 19,000 tourists, including 330 foreigners, had visited the park in 2024.

While July and August are its peak blooming season it is closed to the visitors on October 31 every year.
