Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) has asked administrations of all the districts of the State to identify and prepare locations for conducting the result improvement examination for classes X and XII in 2025. The results of the board examinations for 2025 were announced on April 19. In light of these results, the UVSP offers an opportunity for students who did not achieve satisfactory grades to improve their scores. Consequently, registration for this improvement examination commenced on May 2 and has recently ended.
Speaking of the status and scheduling of the improvement examination, UVSP secretary Vinod Simlati said that a specific date for the examination is yet to be determined. The registration period for the result improvement examination has concluded with a total of 8,405 students from class X signing up for this year’s exam which includes students from both the 2024 and 2025 batches. For class XII, 10,711 students also registered, covering both these years. Although registration has ended, the collection of hard copies from the respective districts is still ongoing. All districts have been instructed to submit the registration forms of the applicants to the UVSP headquarters in Ramnagar by June 30.
Further, the district administrations have been tasked with identifying suitable locations for setting up centres where the improvement exams will be conducted. Following this process, the UVSP will hold a meeting with the officials concerned to finalise and announce the date for the examination.
It is worth highlighting that this opportunity is available not only to the students of 2025 but to those from 2024, too. The examinees from 2024 will be participating in the improvement examination for the third time this year whereas the 2025 students will be doing it for the first time. The Class X students who have failed in two subjects are mandated to take improvement examinations while the Class XII students who have failed in one subject will also be required to take part in the improvement exams.
