Uttarakhand police secure eight medals at 10th All India Police Judo Cluster 2025

Uttarakhand police won eight medals at the 10th All India Police Judo Cluster 2025. The competition took place from October 7 to 16, 2025, in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir with nearly 30 teams from state police forces and paramilitary units participating. Athletes from Uttarakhand police competed in multiple events and earned medals through focused effort and discipline. The director general of police Deepam Seth met the medal-winning participants and congratulated them for their performance at the Police Headquarters in Dehradun on Monday. He encouraged them to continue regular training and maintain dedication to secure gold medals in future tournaments. Inspector general of police (Crime and Law and Order) and Secretary of the Uttarakhand Police Sports Control Board, Nilesh Anand Bharne and Deputy inspector general of police (Crime and Law and Order) Dhirendra Gunjyal were also present. In the Pencak Silat category, Abhishek Verma and Gayatri Negi won gold medals, while Ishu Bharti secured a bronze medal. In karate, Mohit Kapri won a bronze medal. In taekwondo, Nitesh Singh claimed a gold medal. In wushu, Lavish Kumar earned a silver medal, while Shubham Chaudhary and Sagar each won a bronze medal. Uttarakhand Police ended the competition with a total of three gold, one silver and four bronze medals. The officials stated that the department will continue to support its sportspersons and promote participation in national-level events. The Uttarakhand Police Sports Control Board will monitor training and preparation to improve results in upcoming competitions, they added.
