UPES hosts 3rd edition of Sustainability Fair

The third edition of the Sustainability Fair at UPES, held under the umbrella of the 5th International Sustainability Conference on Health, Safety, Fire and Environmental Advances (HSFEA 2025), saw academic leaders, industry professionals, policymakers and students deliberate on challenges and innovations in the field of sustainability. Over 1500 delegates from diverse stakeholders and representatives from reputed industries attended the conference. This mega event was supported by Makeen Energy, Anusandhan National Research Foundation, Anand Fabricators & Engineers, Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board, CORE EHS, Fire & Security Association of India (FSAI), besides the academic and publication partners, including University of Surrey, Springer, Elsevier, MDPI.
Inaugurating the conference, the environmentalist, founder of Himalayan Environmental Studies and Conservation Organisation (HESCO), Anil Prakash Joshi emphasised the critical urgency of sustainability-focused action and the role of research in solving societal problems. Among others who addressed the gathering were the vice- chancellor, UPES, Prof Ram Sharma and cluster head of Sustainability Cluster and conference convener, Prof Bikrama Prasad Yadav. The concluding address was delivered by the pioneer of the Maiti Movement of Uttarakhand, Kalyan Singh Rawat.
