PNS: The three-day 18th UP State ‘Roll Ball Championship-2025,’ held at the sports ground of IIM-T University under the joint aegis of main sponsor Venkateshwara Group and main organiser Roll Ball Association Uttar Pradesh, concluded on Monday. It has seen participation of two dozen teams in both men and women categories.
In the final match of the men’s category, Team Agra defeated Team Moradabad by 8-1 and won the championship. In the girls’ category, Team Meerut defeated Team Ghaziabad (10-2) and won the championship.
In his message, the chairman of Venkateshwara group of institutions, Sudhir Giri highlighted the important role of the youth in developing India. Echoing the view, the pro-chancellor of Shri Venkateshwara University, Rajeev Tyagi said that a sports competition helped the youth understand where their strength and weakness lay. “Victory and defeat are not as important as learning lessons,” he added.
