Uniyal refuses to appear before CBI on 2016 sting case

In latest news from Doon, with the CBI stepping up its probe into the 2016 infamous sting operation case that came into light during the tumult leading to the ouster of then Harish Rawat-led Congress government in Uttarakhand, then Congress minister and now minister in Pushkar Singh Dhami-led BJP government, Subodh Uniyal refused to turn up before the CBI team, citing ministerial engagements. He had been asked to appear before the CBI team in Delhi on Thursday for questioning. Likewise, the former Congress minister who later crossed over to BJP and then returned to Congress, Harak Singh Rawat also told the CBI his inability to appear in Delhi on May 21. He is expected to appear soon.
Apart from these two heavyweights, some BJP MLAs who had defected to the saffron party after quitting the Congress during the turmoil that engulfed then Congress government are being questioned too, according to sources.
