Practical to be conducted by experts from outside state

Conceding to the demands of the students of Government Doon Medical College (GDMC), the HNB Medical Education University authority has ordered that Anatomy practicals would be held again. To ensure impartiality in the process, the university has decided that all four examiners would be brought here from outside the State. The students of MBBS First year of the Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) had started an agitation on December 17 after they had found that majority of them had flunked the practical examination in Anatomy. Parents of the students had also joined the agitation and sat on a dharna in the college for three days. The students had relented after an inquiry was ordered by HNB Medical University. The academic council of the university in its meeting held on Friday decided that the practical examination of the failed students of MBBS First Year (Batch 2017-18) in Anatomy would be held again.
