Unemployed youth on Wednesday protested outside the residence of Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat in Dehradun after they could not meet him. Several unemployed youth from across the State trained in Bachelor of Education (B Ed) and having Diploma in Elementary Education (D El Ed) arrived in Dehradun on Wednesday to meet Rawat for the government’s failure of not recruiting eligible candidates in vacant teaching posts in the education department. The State President of B Ed Trained Federation, Sangeeta Shah said that thousands of such youths are about to cross their maximum eligible age limit for government service and the state government should start the recruitment process without delay considering their future. A representative of the education minister informed the protesting unemployed youths that Rawat is presently on a tour but he has called them to discuss their issues this Friday.
