U’khand to have a digital health ecosystem: Dhan Singh Rawat

 The Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat has said that the digital health services in Uttarakhand would be promoted under the Ayushman Bharat mission and under it all the hospitals, Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID card holders, doctors and all service providers would be brought on one platform. The minister was addressing a workshop on digital health services at the auditorium of the department of culture here on Saturday. The workshop was organised by the State Health Authority (SHA). He said that the State government is trying to promote the digital health services and for it a digital health ecosystem is being prepared.

He said that ABHA IDs of more than 30 lakh people in the country have been made and efforts are being made to ensure that every individual of the State has these IDs so that everyone can avail the benefit of the digital health services. Rawat said that a special campaign for making  ABHA IDs would soon be undertaken in the State. Under the campaign workshops and camps would be held in all parts of the State.

 The chief executive officer and additional secretary of health Arunendra Singh Chauhan made a presentation of different schemes and digital health ecosystem on the occasion. He said that the digital health IDs can be made free of cost at more than 11,000 Community Service Centres (CSCs) in the State. These IDs can also be made with the help of QR code. Chauhan said that the holders of the digital IDs would not have to stand in the lines in the hospital and they can keep their record safe in digital format. He said that the medical service on the basis of QR code has started in the Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh and the Coronation district hospital, Dehradun.  The mayor of Rishikesh Anita Mamgain and others were present on the occasion.
