16 arrested so far in the case which includes two government employees posted in the state secretariat.
The Uttarakhand police have arrested an additional personal secretary posted in the state secretariat on Friday in connection with the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak case. On the day, the Special Task Force (STF) of the State police arrested Surya Pratap Singh, a resident of Niwad Mandi Jaspur, Udham Singh Nagar. He is currently posted in the state secretariat. The STF has so far arrested 16 persons in the paper leak case which include two government employees posted in the state secretariat.
The STF had arrested six persons in the sensational case on July 24. The police have already arrested Abhishek Verma who was a data entry operator in an outsource company and it believes that he is the main conspirator in the case. He has accepted his involvement in the paper leak of UKSSSC. On Wednesday, the STF had arrested Additional personal secretary Gaurav Chauhan. The case pertaining to the UKSSSC examination paper leak was registered in the Raipur police station. The STF led by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ajay Singh is investigating the case.
