In sync with changing times, the Raj Bhawan will start an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based smart automation system. The system will start functioning with the online gate pass and e- invitation system in the first phase. Under the new system the visitors will not have to stand in queue for gate passes. A web camera installed at the gate will identify the visitors who will be allowed entry after verification.  The Raj Bhawan will send an e- invitation to the invitees for government programmes and they will be able to get entry to the Raj Bhawan after showing the link at the gate.

After the start of the online gate pass and e-invitation systems other applications of the smart automation system would commence.

The information regarding this was given in a meeting held at Raj Bhawan on Monday. The meeting was chaired by governor lieutenant general (retd) Gurmit Singh. The system will be installed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) in collaboration with the UPES.

Interacting with the officers of NIC, the governor hoped that the AI-based portal and mobile app would get completed in time. He directed the director Information Technology Development Authority (ITDA) to complete the AI-based project within the stipulated frame of time.

The ITDA secretary Shailesh Bagauli, secretary to the governor, Ravinath Raman, additional secretary Swati Bhadauria, ITDA director NItika Khandelwal, Priya Ranjan from UPES and others were present in the meeting.
