U’khand players win medals at Grappling Championship in Nashik

A number of players from Uttarakhand-both men and women- won gold and other medals in the 18th National Grappling Championship held in Nashik, Maharashtra, from May 30 to June 1. They had participated in the competition in various weight categories and won gold, silver and bronze medals.

The president of the Uttarakhand unit of Grappling Federation of India, Akhilesh Mittal congratulated all the players for bringing laurels for the State. Those associated with the game thanked the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the Sports minister, Rekha Arya for promoting all kinds of sports and encouraging sportspersons to excel.
