U’khand  nets investment proposals worth Rs 19.6 k cr so far for GIS

A good beginning, say analysts

Ahead of the Global Investors Summit slated in Dehradun in December second week, the Uttarakhand government has so far received investment proposals  totalling Rs 19,600 crore  by way of memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed since the curtain raiser held in Delhi till the CM’s London and Birmingham summit-related trips. This is being deemed by the analysts as a good beginning in the direction of netting investments proposals worth Rs 30,000 crore in the run-up to the summit.  The State government officials said that things have started moving since curtain raiser of the event was held in Delhi in the presence of the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on September 14. As per the State government, MoUs valued at Rs 7600 crore were signed that day. Later, during the CM’s United Kingdom trip, things have received a major fillip in terms of the investment proposals signed.  The State government officials informed that international road-shows would be held in Dubai, Singapore and Canada in the second week of October to attract investors for the summit. This aside, the same would be held in Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Ahmadabad, Hyderabad and Chennai to inspire confidence in the potential investors
