U’khand Congress delegation meets CM Dhami

A delegation of Uttarakhand Congress met the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the State secretariat on Tuesday. The Congress leaders demanded swift action on the recruitment scams, land laws, illicit liquor case of Haridwar, police grade pay and the recent natural disaster in the State.

 The delegation handed over a memorandum to the CM during the meeting.  The general secretary (organisation) of Uttarakhand Congress, Vijay Saraswat said that the delegation was led by Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara. He said that the delegation demanded that the CM Dhami should take immediate action on many issues such as the recruitment scams in the government departments and the death of innocent people by consuming illicit liquor in Haridwar district. The Congress leaders also demanded that swift action should be taken on the demand of Rs 4,600 grade pay of the police personnel, formulation of the strict land laws and adequate compensation to the people affected by recent natural disasters in the State. Saraswat claimed that the CM assured the delegation that necessary action would be taken in all the issues.

 The delegation also included MLA Furkan Ahmed, general secretary Navin Joshi, media in-charge of the Bharat Joddo Yatra in Uttarakhand PK Agarwal, chief spokesperson Garima Dasauni, Rajesh Chamoli and officiating Dehradun Mahanagar president Jaswinder Singh Gogi.
