U’khand administration issues SOPs for Char Dham Yatra

After the Uttarakhand High Court (HC) removed the restrictions it had imposed on the Char Dham Yatra, the Uttarakhand government released the guidelines for the Yatra on Tuesday. Releasing the SOPs for the Yatra, the secretary religious affairs H C Semwal said that every person entering the state should compulsorily register on the Dehradun smart city portal (http://smartcitydehradun.uk.gov.in) but the system of e- passes for the Char Dham Yatra has been done away with.

There would be no need for the residents of the state to register on the smart city portal. All pilgrims must carry the certificate that they have received both the doses of the vaccine and the second dose should have been administered at least 15 days prior to their entry in the state. Those without this certificate should provide a negative report of the RT PCR test which is not older than 72 hours at the time of their entry in the state. The pilgrims found with symptoms of the disease would be sent to the selected test centres and hospitals for RT PCR tests and in case such people are found positive, they would be sent to the Covid Care Centre or District Hospital concerned as per the Covid-19 protocol of MoHFW.

Semwal in his order clearly said that the permission of having Darshan at the Dhams would be given on the basis of available space. A physical distance of six feet between the pilgrims would be necessary inside the temple premises.
