UKD demands reinstatement of 40 employees in Uttarakhand Ayurved University

Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (UKD) on Friday held a protest outside the district magistrate SA Murugesan’s office demanding the reinstatement of 40 employees in the Uttarakhand Ayurved University. The party representative Vijay Kumar Baurai stated that UKD stands with the employees who were dismissed for no reason.

It is important to mention that that the employees were recruited in the year 2016. The former employees stated that the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) inspected the campus in 2016, 2017 and 2018. During the third visit in 2018 the university administration showed the employees as working staff however some weeks later they were removed from their positions.

Addressing the media Baurai said, “The employees were recruited through a private firm and were removed without any notice being served to them. The present ruling government is silent on the issue where the people have lost their jobs and only source of income. Our party stands with the demand of reinstatement of these employees and if needed, we will demand removal of the present vice-chancellor of the university. If the authorities will not listen to us we will undertake a protest in the matter.”
