Only six new cases reported in U’khand

The state health department reported 12 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 14 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Friday. No death from the disease was reported in the state on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,43,799 while a total of 3,30,099 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state, 7398 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 virus till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 96.02 per cent while the sample positivity rate on Friday was 0.10 per cent.
The state health department reported five new patients from Dehradun, three from Haridwar and one each from Pauri, Nainital, Rudraprayag and Tehri on Friday. No new case of Covid-19 was reported from the remaining districts on the day.
The state now has 166 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 101 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Bageshwar, Tehri and Uttarkashi have no active cases of the disease now. In the ongoing vaccination drive 39,957 people were vaccinated in 990 sessions in the state held on Friday.
