The State Health department has come into an alert mode following two cases of Covid- 19 at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rishikesh.
As per the authorities both these patients are women and one of them has been discharged from the hospital. One women, a resident of Gujarat was on a pilgrimage to Uttarakhand when she was admitted to AIIMS, Rishikesh on May 17 following symptoms of the disease.
The chief public relations officer of the institute, Sandeep Kumar Singh confirmed that two cases of the disease have been reported at AIIMS. He said that a woman patient from Gujarat was discharged from the hospital on May 23.
Singh said that one junior resident doctor posted in AIIMS, Rishikesh has also been found positive with the disease. She has been kept in isolation and is under treatment in the hospital. Singh said that both these patients have a travel history.
