The tug of war between friends turned foes- former chief minister Harish Rawat and working president of Uttarakhand Congress Ranjit Rawat over Ramnagar seat has come into the open. The tussle between the two was exposed when an audio of a conversation of Harish Rawat with a party worker of Ramnagar went viral on Monday. In the audio Rawat is heard saying that the party wants him to contest from Ramnagar on which the party worker says that Ranjit Rawat should be the party’s candidate from Ramnagar as he has been working hard in the area. When Harish Rawat was asked to comment on the viral audio he said, “ You should see that I was asking the opinion of the person on my candidature from Ramnagar.’’
Ranjit Rawat on the other hand said that Harish Rawat had never expressed his desire to contest from Ramnagar and now all of the sudden he is demanding a ticket from there. He said that since the party had asked him to make preparations, he was doing ground work in Ramnagar. Ranjit made it clear that he wants to contest from Ramnagar only.
