Doon police to commence confiscation of assets worth Rs 10 crore of 13 accused

The Dehradun police have sent reports of confiscation of total assets worth Rs 10 crore of 13 accused booked under the Gangster Act to the district magistrate Sonika. The senior superintendent of police of Dehradun Daleep Singh Kunwar said that there are about 150 accused across the district who have been booked under the Gangster Act and to take action against the assets procured by them through illegal means, the police have started the legal procedure.

He said that the police have initially identified 13 accused who are booked in five police station areas of the district under this Act. He said that four accused each have been booked in Dalanwala Kotwali and Sahaspur police station, three in city Kotwali and one each in Patelnagar Kotwali and Vasant Vihar police station. The SSP said that all reports of confiscation of movable and immovable assets of these offenders have been sent to the DM and the police are likely to start the confiscation process in the next few days
