The State meteorological centre has issued a warning (watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall at isolated places in Dehradun and Nainital districts on Saturday. Further, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, hail and intense showers are likely to occur at isolated places in the mountainous regions today. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in the mountains and at isolated places in the plains of the State today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience light to moderate rain/thundershowers, which may be intense/heavy rain in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 30 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Saturday.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at various places on Friday were 30.8 degrees Celsius and 24.4 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 32.2 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 23 degrees Celsius and 15 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 22.4 degrees Celsius and 18.4 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
