BJP’s Joshi stakes claim from Tehri Lok Sabha constituency

Senior BJP leader and former cabinet minister Lakhi Ram Joshi has staked claim from Tehri Lok Sabha seat. He has presented his claim by submitting his application to the BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt.

Addressing the media, Joshi said that he has been serving the party since its inception. If the party trusts him and gives him the ticket, he will win the Tehri Lok Sabha seat. He said that he had decided to stake his claim from the constituency due to the demand of the public and party workers. Joshi claimed that he had facilitated various important works in the field of transport, education and health in the constituency while serving as an MLA. He expressed confidence that the BJP will win the Lok Sabha elections resoundingly in Uttarakhand and that the party will form its government once again at the Centre.

It is pertinent to mention here that currently, Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah from the erstwhile royal family of Tehri is the MP of the Tehri Lok Sabha constituency.
