The process of getting driving licenses may be easier. It is learnt that the licenses can be made through marriage certificates and school leaving certificates. However, the road transport ministry has sent draft to the secretary and sought suggestions on the matter. If implemented, this will further smoothen the process of making driving licenses. Notably, the road transport ministry has issued draft lists of the required documents for making driving licenses and registration certificates. The applicant may submit one of the 30 documents to authenticate name, address and age. These include aadhar card, voter card, life insurance policy, passport, service certificate, school leaving certificate, PAN card, and birth certificate. Any one of these documents if submitted can help the applicant get the driving license. The road transport ministry has asked the stakeholders to submit suggestions on this matter by May 10.
