Three more new cases reported positive for Covid-19

The cumulative number of positive Covid-19 cases in Dehradun has increased to 44, following the report of three new cases on Friday. Informing about this, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Dehradun, Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma, confirmed that these three local cases were identified on Friday.
Among the cumulative total of 44 cases, 36 are local residents, seven are migrants and one case originated from Haridwar. Currently, there are five active Covid-19 cases in the district: three individuals are receiving care at home, while two are being treated at Subharti Hospital, he said.
Dr Sharma also said that 57 samples were tested for Covid-19 on Friday, bringing the overall number of samples tested to 420. Importantly, there have been no reported deaths related to Covid-19 in Dehradun so far.
It will be recalled that, considering the rising cases, the health department has recently issued an advisory regarding Covid-19. Earlier, Health secretary R Rajesh Kumar informed that the Health Department plans to run a special campaign aimed at raising public awareness about Covid-19. This initiative will provide information on the ‘Do’s and Don’ts.’
