Three defaulters in Doon face action, to repay Rs 3.49 crore

The Dehradun district administration took action against three major defaulters on Thursday, seizing their properties to recover the revenue of over Rs 3.49 crore. The seized properties included a 4 BHK flat at Vispring Villa, Rajpur Road owned by Sai Construction Builders Rajeev Tyagi. It was sealed to recover Rs 3.41 crore in dues, as per the officials. They said that DHFL Premesia Life Insurance Company Limited’s office was also sealed to recover Rs 33.83 lakh. Besides this, Krishna Home on Rajpur Road, associated with OPG TV and Proffessor Sumit Prakash Gupta, was sealed as part of action to recover approximately Rs 20.1 lakh. The revenue team led by sub divisional magistrate Kumkum Joshi carried out these property seizures under Tehsil Sadar on Thursday. The officials informed that the Dehradun district magistrate Savin Bansal has instructed all SDMs to recover dues from large defaulters. Considering this, the respective officials are taking action against the defaulters in the area. They stated that all major defaulters will be pursued for revenue recovery and property seizures will continue if dues remain unpaid, following the prescribed procedures.
