Three cases each of Covid-19 & dengue reported in Dehradun

Three new cases each of Covid-19 and dengue were reported in Dehradun district on Tuesday. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Dehradun, Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma, stated that all three Covid-19 cases reported on Tuesday involve migrants.

This brings the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the district to 108, which includes 90 local residents and 18 migrants. Currently, there are no active Covid-19 cases in Dehradun district. On Tuesday, a total of nine samples were tested for Covid-19, bringing the cumulative number of samples tested to 1,181. Sharma also informed that no deaths from Covid-19 have been reported in Dehradun district so far.

In addition to the Covid-19 cases, the CMO said that three new positive cases of dengue were also reported in Dehradun District on Tuesday. This raises the cumulative number of confirmed dengue cases in the district to 217, with 111 cases originating from Dehradun and 106 from other districts or states.

Currently, there are 16 active dengue patients receiving treatment: seven at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, one at Himalayan Hospital, one at Combined Medical Institute (CMI) Hospital, four at Graphic Era Hospital and three patients are receiving care at home.

Apart from this, on Tuesday, Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) and health department volunteers conducted 10,663 household surveys to check for mosquito larvae. During these surveys, 150 homes were found to have larvae. Additionally, ASHA workers and volunteers examined 68,088 containers on Tuesday and discovered that 208 of them contained larvae.
