The process of finding name in voter list of 2003 made easy: ACEO

 The election commission of India has claimed to make the process of finding the name in the voter list of 2003 very easy. As part of the pre Special Intensive Revision (SIR) activity in the State, the commission has undertaken a Booth Level Officer (BLO) outreach campaign in the State.

The assistant chief electoral officer (ACEO), Mastu Das said that the BLO outreach programme will be undertaken in the State till January 10. In the programme the BLOs are visiting every household and are contacting voters and matching with the voter list of 2003. There are many such voters in the State who have no information about their polling booths in the year 2003. Das said that in view of this problem the facility of searching the voter list of 2003 is being given on the official website of chief electoral officer Uttarakhand www.ceo.uk.gov.in ,in an easy way. 

Das said the voters can get information about their voter number and booth number on the basis of their assembly constituency and names of their parents/husband.  In the new feature the above information can be received with the help of colony, Mohallaa and area. The ACEO appealed to the people to provide necessary information to the BLOs in the outreach programme. He said that it is being ensured that coordination and dialogue is done with every voter by the BLOs for the safety of their voting rights.
