THDCIL, Gujarat govt ink MoU for Anjan Kund Pumped Storage Project

THDC India Limited signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat for the development of the 2,210 MW Anjan Kund Pumped Storage Project (PSP) in Dang district in Gujarat during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences held at Mehsana. The project entails a planned investment of approximately Rs 13,200 crores. Among the dignitaries present at the MoU signing ceremony were the Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Consumer Affairs and Food and Public Distribution, Pralhad Joshi and the chief minister of Gujarat, Bhupendrabhai Patel.
The chairman and managing director, THDCIL, R K Vishnoi termed the MoU a milestone achievement in strengthening India’s energy infrastructure while emphasising that this project exemplifies THDCIL’s vision of developing large-scale energy storage systems that facilitate round-the-clock renewable power and bolster grid stability.
