Like every year, an Inter-School Dohawali Competition was organised at Sunrise Academy, Dehradun on October 14. The theme of the competition was ‘Presentation of Dohas of Kabir and Rahim.’ Several reputable schools based in the city participated in the event: Doon Blossoms, New Doon Blossoms School, Mount Fort Academy, Guru Nanak Academy, Core International School and Shigally Hill International School. New Doon Blossoms School secured the first position while Guru Nanak Academy stood second.
All the participants were awarded certificates while the winner school received a trophy. The event was coordinated by the administrative officer and senior Hindi Teacher of Sunrise Academy, Monika Sharma. Among the dignitaries present were the director of Sunrise Academy, R M Saxena; managing director, Pooja Pokhriyal and the principal, Nitu Tomar.
