In order to expedite the establishment of cluster schools across the State, the Education minister, Dhan Singh Rawat directed the departmental officers to prepare DPR by June 30 and submit it to the State government. Besides, he asked them to spend the allotted budget on time.
Rawat held a review meeting of the School Education department during which he described the establishment of cluster schools as a milestone for strengthening the education system. He said that the officers of the districts which would fail to provide the DPR of their selected cluster schools before June 30 would be asked to clarify. He also sounded displeased over the failure of the departmental officials in spending the budgetary funds in the last Financial Year. “The students had to bear the brunt of their failure,” he said, adding that such negligence would not be tolerated in future.
Regarding the ongoing recruitment of teachers under primary education, he directed the officials concerned to conduct the fifth counselling soon and deploy the newly appointed teachers in schools spread in remote areas. Expressing displeasure over the delay in the recruitment of BRC-CRPs under Samagra Shiksha scheme, he directed the officials concerned to complete the recruitment process soon.
