A group of about 125 students from around 38 countries from Central Hindi Institute-Agra, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi University and other institutions reached Patanjali Yogpeeth on Sunday. Addressing the students on this occasion, Acharya Balakrishna said that the type of diversity and culture India has cannot be found in any other country in the world. Before understanding India, one has to understand the basic nature of India- humanity, compassion, compassion, love and spirit of cooperation are embedded in every particle of India.
On this occasion, he introduced the students to Patanjali Rishi. He told that about 4,000 years ago there was a great sage who started Yoga as it is known today. “In the name of Maharishi Patanjali, the first guru of Yoga, we established the Patanjali Yogpeeth. We treat patients through Yoga and the traditional Indian medicine system olf Ayurveda, but we also check the disease through the modern medicine system. We have about 1,500 hospitals all over the country, in which free medical counseling is provided to millions of patients every month. We also have EMR system through which we have secured data of about one crore patients, which is not available with any institution,” said Balkrishna.
Providing information about the public service provided by Patanjali to the students, he said that the institution has two huge auditoriums to train about 4,000 to 5,000 patients simultaneously in Yoga. The naturopathy center is called Yogagram, built on about 150 acres for natural medicine. Patanjali Ayurved College, Acharyakulam, Vedic Gurukulam, Vedic Kanya Gurukulam, Patanjali Gurukulam and Bal Gurukulam are the educational institutes which are being run on a non-profit basis, he said.
On this occasion, a student from Kazakhstan appreciated the opportunity to know and understand the Indian language and the culture of India.
Janaki Devi, social worker Shri Bhaskar and Priyanka Bhardwaj from Central Hindi Institute of Agra were also present in the pgoramme.
The visiting students were from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Cameroon, China, Egypt, Japan, Guyana, Mauritius, Nigeria, South Korea, Poland, Romania, Sri Lanka, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Trinidad, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Russia.
