STF arrests drug peddler with heroin worth Rs 31.5 lakh

The Special Task Force (STF) in a joint operation with Doiwala police and the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) arrested a drug peddler with 105 grammes of heroin. The value of the seized contraband is reported to be about Rs 31.50 lakh.
The arrested accused has been identified as Rahul, a native of Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. The operation was carried out by the authorities on Friday morning in the Doiwala area of Dehradun.
During the investigation, Rahul told the police that he brought the heroin from a man named Rashid in Bareilly using a cab booking mobile app. He said that he used to sell the drug in small quantities to college students and other people in and around Dehradun to earn a profit.
According to STF officials, this is the third major action by the STF in just one week under the Drug-Free Devbhoomi Mission 2025. The action was taken on the instruction of STF senior superitendent of police Navneet Singh Bhullar. He has directed the ANTF to remain alert in all districts of the State to stop drug trafficking.
