The State government will take cognisance of the major issues being faced by hoteliers and make all possible efforts to resolve these. The government is attempting to boost various activities in the Green zone districts to bring some improvement in the economy. The chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said this while interacting with office bearers of the hotel association here on Friday.
During the discussion it was stated that hoteliers were facing various issues due to arrival of tourists and other people in the state coming to a standstill due to COVID-19. Issues are being faced in paying salaries to hotel employees. The current time is most important from the view point of tourism in the state but with movement stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tourism and hotel industry is in a bad shape. The office bearers of the hotels association communicated various issues being faced by the industry.
The chief minister said that the state government will seriously consider the major issues of the hotel association and that all possible effort will be made to resolve these. The government is attempting to speed up various activities in the Green zone districts so that some improvement in the economy can be achieved, he added. MLA Munna Singh Chauhan, BJP State vice president Anil Goyal, hotel association head Sandeep Sahani, secretary Sanjay Agrawal and others were present in the interaction.
