State govt to seek help of IMA, AIIMS & retired medical professionals

The Health secretary Amit Negi has said that more than 2000 calls are being received daily on the 104 help line for Covid-19.

Talking to the media persons on Friday he said that to get connected with the common people the state government has set up a portal which is being constantly monitored by the control room. He said that tele- medicine facility is being provided to the people residing in remote areas of the state by e- Sanjeevani portal. He claimed that the state government is taking the help of Indian Medical Association (IMA), All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh and retired medical professionals in tackling Covid-19. He accepted that there are many challenges but the number of oxygen supported beds are constantly being increased.

Negi added that nodal officers at the level of state administration and police have been appointed to prevent black-marketing of medicines and medical equipment. He said that the state government is in constant touch with the vaccine manufacturing companies for supply vaccine doses.
