Addressing the gathering, he recalled the influential role played by Swami Vivekanand in inspiring the younger generation. India is a nation brimming with youthful potential and the nation’s strength lies in its young citizens. Quoting Vivekanand, he emphasised the mantra of rising, awakening and persisting until the goal is attained. He stressed the significance of youth taking responsibility for the nation’s and the state’s development.

Speaking on the occasion, the Sports and Youth Welfare minister Rekha Arya said that life is all about struggles and the bigger the struggle in life, the bigger the victory. The State government is working on various schemes for the welfare, upliftment and all-round development of the youth. Vivekananda’s dream was to make India the leading nation of the world, and all should strive to make it a reality, Arya said.
