The speaker of Uttarakhand assembly RituKhanduri met Prime Minister NarendraModi at his residence on Friday and greeted him. Khanduri is on a visit to New Delhi. In the meeting the speaker presented the PM with a miniature replica of Kedarnath temple and a hand woven Aasan (mat used for prayers).
PM Modi congratulated RituKhanduri for being elected first women speaker of Uttarakhand and held a discussion on various development schemes for the state. He also inquired about her experience of coordinating the house for the first time.
