Increasing villagers’ income needed for rural development: Taori

Former Union secretary Kamal Taori said that development of agriculture and animal husbandry is possible with rural development. To improve the condition of the country’s villages, he emphasised on the need to think about increasing the income of the villagers. He said this at a workshop organised by Purana Darbar Trust and Swami Ramteerth Shodh Sansthan at Ranichauri. Earlier, students and local villagers took out a march from Badshahithol to Ranichauri to spread awareness about environmental protection. As the chief guest in the workshop, Taori talked about the importance of conservation of Badri cow found in the mountainous regions. Mahamandaleshwar of Sripanch Digambar Ani Akhada, Swami Ram Kishore Das said that small businesses should be organised in every village on Panchagavya, cow dung and similar items.

Entrepreneurship creation is the need of the hour. Member of the Rural Development and Migration Prevention Commission Suresh Suyal said that a comprehensive action plan is being prepared in a scientific way to stop migration in the State. At the conclusion of the workshop, 30 people who did commendable work in the field of cow protection and promotion, education, environment and self-employment were honoured by the guests.
