SJVN’s Chairman & Managing Director Nand Lal Sharma presented a cheque of Rs.7.4 crores to Upendra Tripathy, Director General, International Solar Alliance (ISA) in the august presence of R K Singh, Union Minister of Power & New and Renewable Sources (I/C) to join as Corporate – Member of International Solar Alliance (ISA).
Nand Lal Sharma on the occasion apprised that, this prestigious membership will provide SJVN a global platform to garner cooperation amongst member countries to enhance the use of Solar Energy in a safe, convenient, affordable, equitable and sustainable manner. He further said that, Prime Minister recently called for connecting Solar Energy supply across borders, with the mantra of ‘One Sun, One World, One Grid’.
ISA is the only International body with exclusive focus on Solar Energy. Till date, 67 countries have ratified the Framework Agreement of ISA and 86 countries have signed the agreement.
