Wednesday, 30 May 2018 | PNS | Dehradun– Six youngsters and a group leader from Nanhi Dunya will represent India in brave kids educational cultural programme to be held in Ukraine and Poland. According to the Nanhi Dunya chief promoter Kiran Ulfat Goyal, the chidlren and their group leader will represent India at the Brave Kids International Festival between May 30 and July 10 in Ukraine and Poland, under the patronage of UNESCO and the Polish Ministry of Culture and Heritage. The aim of the event is to unite children from all over the world in an atmosphere of friendship and respect for each other’s cultures. Before departing from Dehradun, the children met chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and various cabinet ministers. During a special meet with the children at his residence, the chief minister wished them all the best while motivating them to make the most of the experience they would be having. Group leader Ashu Satvika Goyal informed that the group of six children -Divya Chauhan, Khushi, Purnima Kashyap, Nancy Rawat, Saniya and Sumit Sharma had been invited to the Brave Kids Festival, Ukraine and Poland. The festival aims at providing a platform for the collaboration of artistic groups of children around the world. She said that this was an honour for Dehradun and the country as the children will represent the nation with their cultural and artistic talent at the international festival. One of the main aims of Nanhi Dunya is to contribute towards a peaceful, sustainable & integrated world, where all living beings can live and grow in universal harmony. The group of children later also met the Vidhan Sabha spearker and Rishikesh MLA Premchand Agarwal, Urban Development and Housing minister Madan Kaushik and the Education and Sports minister Arvind Pandey. Nanhi Dunya has been working in the field of education, child and women welfare for about seven decades now through ten welfare centres in and around Dehradun.
