Taking cognisance of the apathy shown by the hospitals in treating patients under the Ayushman Yojana, the State Health Authority (SHA) has removed five hospitals from the panel of the Ayushman Yojana.
Three of these hospitals are in Dehradun while two belong to Udham Singh Nagar district. The SHA chief executive officer Reena Joshi said that all the empaneled hospitals under the Aysuhman Yojana must follow the norms. She said that the action against five hospitals has been taken due to their inactivity. The action has been taken as per the norms, Joshi added.
The SHA has removed Jeevan Jyoti clinic, Mars hospital and Siddhi Vinayak hospital of Dehradun and Bisht hospital and Eyesight Super Speciality Eye Care centre of Udham Singh Nagar from the panel of Ayushman Yojana.
The SHA found that all these hospitals have done zero activity in Ayushman Yojana in the last six months. A warning was given to the hospitals for being inactive and notice of one month was served on them. After the end of the notice period the SHA decided to remove them from the panel.
Joshi said that the SHA’s objective is to provide the benefit of the Ayushman scheme to the last person standing on the social ladder. She said that regular monitoring of the scheme at various levels is being done and any laxity will not be tolerated.
