The Dehradun District Sports Office (DSO) will organise district-level selection trials for the State-Level Softball Competition in the Open Senior Boys category on November 1 at Pavilion Ground. According to officials, in view of the celebration of the 25th State Foundation Day (Silver Jubilee), the DSO of Tehri district will host the State-Level Softball Competition for the Open Senior Boys category from November 4 to 5 at the sports ground of Baurari Stadium, New Tehri.
To participate in this competition, Dehradun DSO will conduct district-level selection trials on November 1, starting at 9 AM at Pavilion Ground, Dehradun. Officials have stated that participants must bring a passport-sized photo, an Aadhar card and both original and photocopy versions of their permanent residence certificate.
It will be recalled that additionally, to mark the State Foundation Day, various state-level sports competitions will be organised in every district. The said competition, which includes the Nainital DSO, will host under-11 and under-13 boys’ and girls’ State-level badminton competitions from November 6 to November 9. The Haridwar DSO will conduct under-17 boys’ State-level hockey tournaments from November 5 to 8 at Vandana Kataria Hockey Stadium. The Dehradun DSO will also organise an under-17 boys’ State-level football tournament from November 5 to 9 at Pavilion Ground.
