Authorities have recovered the body of a three-year-old boy who went missing after his father jumped along with him into Ganga river near Chilla barrage in Rishikesh on April 3 to reportedly commit suicide.
The officials informed that a local resident Archit Bansal (32) allegedly committed suicide by jumping into the river with his three-year-old son Raghav Bansal but the team of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) could not find their bodies. On Wednesday, the team finally found the body of the child after consistently running the search operation for the past 11 days but the father’s body is yet to be found, said the officials.
According to them, the SDRF team will continue to look for the body of the man. The police said that they are investigating the matter.
