SCPCR to organise Bal Vidhan Sabha on November 20

The State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) will organise the fourth edition of Bal Vidhan Sabha on November 20. The chairperson of the commission Geeta Khanna said that in this Vidhan sabha, 70 child legislators elected from all the state assemblies will organise question hour and review meetings of several departments of the Bal Vidhan Sabha. She said that the Uttarakhand Bal Vidhan Sabha is conducted every year by the child commission to help children to learn democratic values and how to work with an open and transparent process in a government system. Ministers and officials of several departments would also be present at the event. She said that the commission is celebrating Child Week from November 14 to 20 under which, several competitions and programmes will be organised for children on various topics like the State Level Consultant and Children Champions Award 2022 on the subject of Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act 2015. The prizes to the winners will be distributed by the Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, added Khanna.
