Anubhuti Uttarakhand (AU) organised a screening of two regional films from the State- ‘Sunpat’ and ‘Pataal-Tee’ on Saturday at a local hotel. Directors and actors of the film were present during the event.
During the screening, the founder of AU Rahul said, “Over the past two years, the state of Uttarakhand has achieved a significant milestone in the realm of cinema as two films titled ‘Sunpat‘ and ‘Pataal-Tee’ emerged victorious at the prestigious International Film Festival of India (IFFI, Goa).
The two Garhwali films were also aimed at promoting the regional language of the State. The larger goal is to approach and attract the natives of Uttarakhand and cinema lovers towards cinema so that they can contribute to the creation of a vibrant film market. Apart from this, the screening will ultimately help in cultural preservation, representation identity and holistic growth of the State.”
To showcase the real Uttarakhand which remains hidden from the eyes of the visitors, the screening of these two films will also be held at the Himalayan Cultural Centre on August 19 and 20, he added.
