In latest news from Dehradun, the Shiva devotees in their thousands thronged the Shiva temples in Dehradun on the first Monday of the Lord’s favourite month Sravana. To control the surging crowd of devotees in the main Shiva temples in the city, police personnel were posted. Besides, the temple employees were also seen active as the devotees kept on arriving. The gates of the Tapkeshwar Shiva temple were opened at 4.30 in the morning. In Haridwar too, the Shiva devotees collected water from holy Ganga on this special day to perform jalaabhisek in the temples of the Lord. Daksa Mahadev temple in Kankhal was chock-a-block with devotees since early morning. Aside from Daksa Mahadev temple, other revered temples of Lord Shiva like Bilkeshwar temple, Nileshwar temple and Daridra Bhanjan temple saw huge turnout of devotees.
