Heavy rainfall warning issued for Dehradun & Tehri

At a time when the people and authorities are still tackling the damage wreaked in parts of Dehradun and Tehri districts by heavy rains a few days ago, parts of these two districts are likely to experience heavy rain today. The State meteorological centre has issued a warning (watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall at isolated places in Dehradun and Tehri districts on Wednesday. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in the mountains and at a few places in the plains on Wednesday.  The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness partly to generally cloudy skies today. Light to moderate rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur with intense showers in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 33 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Tuesday were 34.4. degrees Celsius and 25.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 34.4 degrees Celsius and 27.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 23 degrees Celsius and 15.7 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 26.6 degrees Celsius and 18.6 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
