Higher Education Dept to recruit 117 Yoga trainers for Govt colleges

The Higher Education department will recruit 117 Yoga trainers for the government colleges of the State. The department has started the process of recruitment. These Yoga trainers will be appointed for a period of 11 months and they will be paid a sum of Rs 300 per day (maximum Rs 18,000 per month).  

The trainers will be appointed for the next academic session. The applicant for the post Yoga trainer should have a post graduate or equivalent degree in Yoga, Yoga sciences, Yoga education or Yoga health. The candidates having one year PG diploma from any recognised university or reputed institute can also apply for the post. Apart from educational qualification the applicant must have minimum two years experience in Yoga education and training. The applicants should compulsorily register at rojgar prayag portal (rojgarprayag.uk.gov.in). The department will constitute an interview committee to select the candidates. The list of selected candidates will be sent to an outsource agency which will appoint the Yoga trainers for a period of 11 months.

The Higher Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the students of the government colleges will be given Yoga training to make them healthy and fit as per the provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020. He said that the department has started the process of recruitment of Yoga trainers on outsource.
